Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Policy
Harcourts Real Estate Training Centre is committed to offering a fair, transparent, and accessible Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process for all students.
Policy Statement
We ensure that RPL assessments are:
- Conducted professionally and consistently
- Based on valid, sufficient, authentic and current evidence
- Compliant with national training package requirements
- Aligned to the ASQA 2025 Outcome Standards
This policy ensures Harcourts Real Estate Training Centre:
- Provides students with clear and accessible information about the RPL process
- Supports students to collect reliable evidence for their application
- Ensures all RPL assessments are conducted by qualified assessors
- Records all RPL decisions accurately in aXcelerate
- Notifies students promptly of outcomes and next steps
- Issues Statements of Attainment or Qualifications only after all fees have been paid
- Provides students with the right to appeal assessment decisions
- Ensures RPL decisions comply with the National Training Package requirements
RPL is not a Credit Transfer. Students eligible for Credit Transfers will be assessed under the Credit Transfer Policy and Procedure.
Procedure
Students who wish to apply for RPL will need to:
- Enrol in the relevant course
- Advise the Student Experience Team they wish to apply for a RPL by email to: help@realestatetrainingcentre.com
- Sign and return the RPL Application Form and Authority to Release
- Pay the non-refundable $100 RPL application fee.
- Participate in interview with assessor
- Send through any additional evidence if required
- RPL decision and outcome will be advised within 5 business days of RPL assessment completion
- If deemed Competent, a Statement of Attainment or Qualification will be issued.
- If deemed Not Yet Competent, enrol in required gap training.
