If you have completed your Queensland sales registration course and wish to upgrade to a full licence, then this course will provide you with the 7 remaining units to obtain your Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice.
This course meets the educational requirements to apply for a Real Estate Agent Licence in Queensland. It comprises 7 units of competency which are recognised by the QLD Licencing Authority (QLD Fair Trading).
Upon successful completion of this online course, you will receive the qualification CPPREP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice. This will enable you to apply for a Real Estate Agent Licence with QLD Fair Trading and equip you with the skills and knowledge for a career in real estate.
The Course Covers 7 units in real estateYou will study:
- Service delivery for sellers and buyers
- Maintaining the safety of team members on the job
- Managing the business finances and trust account
- Communicating with tenants
- Ending tenancies and presenting at tribunal

Units of Competency
The course consists of seven (7) Units of Competency which form the Qualification CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice when combined with your existing sales registration units of competency. These units of competency are delivered and assessed in the clusters below.

This course provides the educational requirement required to work as a real estate salesperson, property manager, sales associate or agency administration staff in a client-facing role in Queensland.
Please note that to work in real estate as a salesperson, you must:
- Hold the relevant qualification- CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice
- 12-month work experience as an assistant agent – evidence of work experience competence from the Licensee-in-charge
- Be 18+ years of age
You must satisfy the following enrolment requirements to enrol in this course:
- Hold a valid Unique Student Identifier (USI)
- Have Year 10 or above competency in English language and numeracy
- Meet the technology requirements
- Be over the age of 18 years.
Payment options for this course are either installments or a payment plan through our external provider.
The course cost is split into three (3) installments:
- Installment 1: $250 (payable upon enrolment)
- Installment 2: $250 (payable 4-weeks after enrolment)
- Installment 3: $250 (payable 8-weeks after enrolment)
Payment plans for this course can be arranged through our provider, Ezypay, assisting you to spread their course payments over a period of time. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Harcourts Real Estate Training Centre offers RPL to all students. RPL is an assessment process that recognises your current skill and knowledge gained from previous education and training and work and life experience. If you believe you have any of the skill or knowledge covered in this course, you should contact our Student Experience Team on 1300 024 401.
The course is delivered and assessed online. You will have 18 months from the enrolment date to undertake study, research and complete your assessments. The flexibility of our course structure means that you could be completed much sooner if you have the time to invest in your studies.
Online Student Portal
Training and assessment are undertaken by logging onto our online Student Portal. The Student Portal is where all your learning materials, resources, discussion forums, support and assessments are located. Everything you need to complete your course is in the Student Portal. All materials and support are included in the cost of the course.
Assessment Marking Time-frames
Harcourts Real Estate Training Centre aims to provide assessment results as soon as possible. All assessments will be marked and results available to students within five business days after submission. If marking time-frames are likely to exceed this time (due to peak demand, holiday periods, unforeseeable circumstances etc.), affected students will be advised by email with an estimated time for marking of their assessment.
When students successfully complete all assessments and requirements in their course, they will be issued with a Statement of Attainment or Qualification listing each completed unit. A copy of this document is required by QLD Fair Trading when you apply for your required licence or registration.
